Come find our more about the amazing field of Earth sciences! Since October 1998, the American Geological Institute has organized this national and international event to help the public gain a better understanding and appreciation for the Earth Sciences and to encourage stewardship of the Earth. The objectives of Earth Science Week are to:

Here at the University of Connecticut Center for Integrative Geosciences, we hope to bring Earth science to life for the public and students with this day-long celebration highlighting Earth science processes through hands-on activities for all ages, showing Earth science movies, hosting a 'bring your own rock to be identified' table, walking field trips around campus, and doing demonstrations of various types to engage everyone.

Beach Hall location and parking information for Sunday 10/21 - Please note parking behind Beach Hall is not allowed. Any of the parking areas circled on map (and others not circled!) are fine for the public to use on weekends. But unless you have a handicap tag, parking behind Beach will get you ticketed 24 hours a day.
